I am a native of Maine; born in Bath in my grandmother's house and in her bed.
I retired in 1995 from Bath Iron Works, a Naval shipbuilding company, after working 17 years in the data entry department. Before BIW (Bath Iron Works) I worked in the medical field and after retirement I worked for a local mental health agency doing transcripton from home; it was a cushy job and I loved it.
I am the mother of four wonderful children (they weren't always); two daughters and twin sons. It's funny now that they're all grown up I forget about the difficult times and only remember the good ones. I've been blessed with four grandchildren and a new great-granddaughter.
In 2001 I reconnected with my high school steady, Bud, who was a widower. In 2002 we were married at Popham Beach, Maine, our little piece of heaven here on earth.
In 2005, Bud and I moved to Florida and have taken up residence in the fun-filled senior community known as The Villages. If you are bored living here, then it's your own fault. There are so many things to do that we don't have time to do them all.
I am a member of the Red Hat Society and I'm founding Queen of The Sunset Pointer Sisters. I belong to several writing groups such as The Write Corner, Florida Writer's Association, and Romance Writers of America. I'm a member of the Sunset Pointe Photography club, Girls on the Go club, Gal Pals Club, and I love to play bunco. I've recently taken up watercolor painting. I'm also at work on my second novel,"Mending Hearts at Stony Creek Diner."
Life for me is very good indeed!
